News from minister of music

It’s hard to believe that September is almost here and it’s time to think about Fall choir rehearsals starting again. It has been great to have so many of you singing through the summer and I thank you for the commitment you have made to sing God’s praises. We have had a couple weeks off to refresh our voices and spirits and now it is time to begin again! The Traditional Choir will be starting new music for the Fall season on Wednesday, August 25, at 7:00 P.M. I look forward to greeting many of you then, ready to lift your voices in praise to our awesome God. The Praise Team will be continuing to rehearse on Mondays at 6:30 P.M. Bell Choir rehearsals will begin on September 11 at 9:30 A.M. We will continue to meet on the 2^nd and 4^th Saturdays of each month.

If you know of anyone who would enjoy being a part of our music ministry at New Leaf UMC, pleas invite them to come with you to a rehearsal of the Traditional choir, Praise choir or Bell choir. Let them know what a joy it is to share in such unique, caring groups as ours New Leaf United Methodist Music Ministries offer!

CALLING ALL SINGERS!

 If you would like to join the choir just for the summer, we will be having one rehearsal a month to learn two anthems for that month. We will then sing on two Sundays of that same month and it will be a shorter time commitment than through the year. We would love to have you join us!—The SCHEDULE follows:

Month of Aug:   Rehearsal-Aug. 4 at 7:00 p.m.-sing on Aug. 8th & 15^th.

BELL CHOIR

The Bell Choir will be practicing on the 2^nd and 4^th Saturdays of each month. The practices are held in the Peter Room.

C H O I R   P R A C T I CE

Traditional Choir Practice will be practicing on Wednesdays at 7:00 p.m. and is led by Rebecca Levering.

P R A I S E   T E A M

Praise Team is led by Denise Wheeler and practices on Mondays from 6:30 - 7:30 p.m.
